JAC is short for Jacaranda, a tree.
JAC is short for Jack, a golfer.
It was touch and go for the Jacaranda, he lost his main branch and for many months during the build was on the radar to accidentally loose his roots. He survived as the local council insisted he stay as part of the planning permission, stupid really as Jacaranda tree’s are not native to Sydney and when they flower become painful to clean up but lovely to see from a distance. The council allowed us to cut off one of his main branches as it was right over the planned golf hut, it took several meetings with them and four changes to the plans but we got it approved. The builder asked politely if they should be gentle around it’s roots during the build, the advice just do your best to have a go and see what happens - well it survived the build, in fact it flourished …
